Cultural Association of Bengal, in partnership with several North American Bengali Associations including Dakshini Bengali Association of CA, will be holding the NABC 2012 at Las Vegas on July 6, 7 and 8, 2012. Please register for this event and support this National event for Bengalis across North America. Please visit www.nabc2012.org
The names of performing artist have been updated at www.nabc2012.org which includes Shankar Mahadevan, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Pt. Jasraj and many others. Dakshini is a partner organization at this Conference and has taken responsibility in a number of teams to support NABC 2012. Dakshini is providing leadership to the Re-Union Committee. Thanks to all those who responded to the survey questionnaire for Bus Transportation for community members and friends from Southern California to attend NABC 2012 at Las Vegas. Based on the numbber of respondents by geographical locations, we have found the cheapest and easiest alternaative to book with a Transportation Company named GoTo Bus. The rates vary by pick-up locations - buses will drop passengers in front of Bally's. The lowest rate from LA to Las Vegas is $20 each way per person. There are different pick up times (the most suitable being 7.30 AM on July 6, reaches LV by 1 PM). Return from LV is at 10 PM on July 8, or 11 AM on July 9. We are actively pursuing to expand pick up locations beyond that specified by the Company, for a nominal extra charge; another alternative is park cars at closest parking spots and board.
