Dakshini Bengali Association of California is a nonprofit, nonpolitical, charitable, educational and cultural organization. Dakshini was formed in August 1985 in Torrance, California, and is incorporated as a nonprofit tax-exempt organization since July 1986. As a community service organization, we conduct, coordinate and promote the community, cultural and social activities among the people of South Asian origin in southern California and the USA. Dakshini’s aim is to foster friendship and understanding between the people of Indian origin and beyond. With over 1500+ individuals involved today, Dakshini has grown considerably in the past years and continues to serve the greater community in southern California.
